  13. Mac gurus!  I have a Quadra 700 that will not record sound through the
  14. built in microphone.  However, Sample Editor 1.0.3 successfully plays sound
  15. straight through from microphone to speaker, EVEN THOUGH IT WON'T RECORD
  16. THE SOUND.  I'm incredulous.  Reinstallation of the system software has not
  17. helped.
  18.
  19. So the questions are:
  20.
  21. - What software componant might be responsible for this anomalous behavior?
  22.
  23. - Barring that, is there some odd failure that would allow playing sound
  24. straight through, but not record?
  25.
  26. - Does anyone know a good exorcist?
  27.
  28. The blessings of my tribe to you all...
