- While you have it open to re-seat the ram, do the same for
- the DC power cable connector at the motherboard, and for
- any cards in slots. Just unplug and re-plug a couple of times each.
- Then, boot from a floppy and re-set PRAM. See if the system will
- stay up okay with a floppy boot. If the crashes only happen with
- the hard disk system booted, the HD driver or SYSTEM file or FINDER
- or ANY extensions/Control panels could be a factor. Be sure to test
- without any serial devices plugged in. If the crashes happen only
- with some serial device connected, even when not in use, then it may be
- that device has a power or logic problem.
