  12. While you have it open to re-seat the ram, do the same for
  13. the DC power cable connector at the motherboard, and for
  14. any cards in slots. Just unplug and re-plug a couple of times each.
  15. Then, boot from a floppy and re-set PRAM. See if the system will
  16. stay up okay with a floppy boot. If the crashes only happen with
  17. the hard disk system booted, the HD driver or SYSTEM file or FINDER
  18. or ANY extensions/Control panels could be a factor. Be sure to test
  19. without any serial devices plugged in. If the crashes happen only
  20. with some serial device connected, even when not in use, then it may be
  21. that device has a power or logic problem.
