  18. Is it technically possible?  Electrically, at least, sure it is.  Add a serial
  19. chip and address decoding circuitry to your printer board, supply a 
  20. configuration rom to tell the docking handler the address of your serial 
  21. chip (in slot E space), and cram that all in front of your printer circuitry, 
  22. and you could probably be up and swimming without too much trouble.

  24. Or you might be able to create some sort of unit that simply plugs into
  25. the existing serial port...
