- To answer your question, yes the mac can use PC SIMMs(but I haven't heard
- about any cases where this has happened) but PC's cannot use Mac SIMMs. This
- is because of the SIMM itself..PC SIMMs have an extra bit for parity checking
- whereas the mac SIMM (8bits/byte) does not. So if you put PC SIMMs in a mac the
- mac just ignores the extra bit..on the other hand, if you put mac SIMMs in
- a PC it will not work.
