  15. Why?  Does it cost the same as a IIci?  According to MacWeek, the price of
  16. the Performa 600 (street $2000) is much closer to the IIsi (list $1999) than the
  17. IIci (list $2719).  Or are you comparing against the IIci in order to make
  18. sure that your claim that the Performa 600 is an inferior machine looks
  19. justified?  Heck, why not compare it against a Quadra 950?  A Cray 2?
  20. MacUser's recent Buyers' Guide also kind of panned the Performa 600, but at
  21. least their analysis was more insightful than "Hey, it's not as good as a IIci!
  22. THTHTHTHRRRP!".

  28. As a user of the radio spectrum, I applaud Apple's efforts to continue to
  29. improve the radiation characteristics of their machines.  While the IIci is
  30. very quiet, the metal cases are not only cheaper for Apple to manufacture,
  31. they are also better suited to meeting RFI and EMC requirements.
