- Why? Does it cost the same as a IIci? According to MacWeek, the price of
- the Performa 600 (street $2000) is much closer to the IIsi (list $1999) than the
- IIci (list $2719). Or are you comparing against the IIci in order to make
- sure that your claim that the Performa 600 is an inferior machine looks
- justified? Heck, why not compare it against a Quadra 950? A Cray 2?
- MacUser's recent Buyers' Guide also kind of panned the Performa 600, but at
- least their analysis was more insightful than "Hey, it's not as good as a IIci!
- THTHTHTHRRRP!".

- As a user of the radio spectrum, I applaud Apple's efforts to continue to
- improve the radiation characteristics of their machines. While the IIci is
- very quiet, the metal cases are not only cheaper for Apple to manufacture,
- they are also better suited to meeting RFI and EMC requirements.
