- I would recomend a Mac ][ci, a ][si will do the job but you will need a NuBus
- adpater card. You can not get away with a Mac Classic for digital recording
- it is too slow, however for general MIDI a Classic is a great machine. The only
- compact Mac I know of that can do hard drive recording is the SE-30. I am not
- sure if Digidesign is still manufacturing the hardware required for the SE-30.
- You should have a big hard drive (600 meg for about 50 minutes of stero
- recording at 44.1KHz) with an access time of at least 18ms or faster. In
- order to keep noise down I would recomend the Mackie CR-1202. You can get one
- for around $315 give or take and I'd say that it is probably the most quiet mixer
- for under $1000 (not including other Mackie boards of course). Hope this
- helps.... good luck, Joe C.
- PS... any relation to Ryan Quigley??
