  18. The correct machine to compare against the P600 is the IIci, not the
  19. IIsi. In such a comparison, the P600 doesn't do so well. It has no cache
  20. and no easy way to add any, the FPU is extra, and despite a faster processor
  21. it's system bus is slower, resulting in worse performance. I'm not sure,
  22. but it seems that price is about the same for both. Other factors are
  23. a matter of taste, but I much prefer the IIci's plastic case to the P600's
  24. metal one. I have to wonder why the IIci is being discontinued. Hopefully
  25. the Centris line will give us some machines which haven't cut corners
  26. on technology in order to be price competitive.
