- The correct machine to compare against the P600 is the IIci, not the
- IIsi. In such a comparison, the P600 doesn't do so well. It has no cache
- and no easy way to add any, the FPU is extra, and despite a faster processor
- it's system bus is slower, resulting in worse performance. I'm not sure,
- but it seems that price is about the same for both. Other factors are
- a matter of taste, but I much prefer the IIci's plastic case to the P600's
- metal one. I have to wonder why the IIci is being discontinued. Hopefully
- the Centris line will give us some machines which haven't cut corners
- on technology in order to be price competitive.
