- You can buy replacement power supplies from Dafax Processing Corp. or
- Sun Remarketing, Inc.
-
- You can also buy more memory, SCSI interface, 800k floppy, and an updated
- emulator "MacWorks Plus II" which allows the Lisa (or Mac XL) to run System
- 6.0.8 (and System 7 next year).
-
- An accelerator board is also available, but my opinion is biased. I'd suggest
- waiting for the new (less expensive) XLerator-12 which will give more speed,
- and more memory (4Mb and more).
-
- Sam Neulinger at Dafax Processing Corp. is very knowledgeable about Lisa
- things. He is at (718) 746-8220 or (800) 323-1751 fax: (718) 746-1071
- 14 North Drive, Malba, NY 11357
-
- As far as deciding whether it is worth it or not, I think you should ask
- Sam about upgrade prices and compare with your alternative choices for
- a Mac. I know a lot of people find the Lisa continues to be a viable
- machine, but they have put a lot more into it over the years.
-
- My opinion is biased due to my involvement in some of the products
- mentioned above.
