- Well, I had a similar problem with my old Plus awhile back though I'm not sure
- it is the same as yours... Anyway, since the Plus was made sans fan to cool
- its heated interior, after some time passes the soldering insides begins to
- weaken. This resulted in my case with the screen blanking out totally
- from time to time--and a good whack or two on the side did restore visual
- function in my case as well.

- If this is the same as your case, I don't think there is gonna be a cheap or
- easy way to fix this since the soldering will first need to be reworked, and
- you will probably also find it wise to have a air fan installed in the back
- to prevent a recurrence. I think I paid about $150 for this operation. Note that
- the SE's that came later were equipped with a fan to prevent just such
- occurences. But like I said, I'm not sure this is your problem as well, just a
- hunch.
