- Speaking as the original poster of the question, I will note that about
- half of the (dozen or so) replies to my query were prefaced with "haven't
- you read your manual?" (or something like that :-) while the other half
- merely pointed me to it, appreciating the fact that as a dyed-in-the-wool
- Mac afficionado I expected the interface to be a little more obvious
- than option-clicking on the words "Minutes until automatic sleep!"
-
- The whole POINT of the Mac interface is to make questions of "how do I do
- this?" unneccesary! This is why one might NOT consult the manual that
- includes chapters like "Turning the Macintosh On and Off."
-
- Finally, the fact that my question was given the dubious honour of having
- "FAQ" prepended to its title might itself be an indication that *sloth* is
- not the only operative factor here...
-
- My humble thanks to the quiet philanthropists who, rather than mailing me
- the answer of
-
- Dear Sir: RTFM
-
- said instead
-
- User Manual, page 102. Pretty intuitive, eh?
-
- Cheers,
-
- Chris.
