4D is probably the best choice you could make for the task you have. The
latest version of 4D, 3.0, was just released. It is the first version of 4D
that has tru client/server architecture. Read this weeks MacWeek for a review.
I have no idea how bug-free 3.0 is, however. Also, the new version has not
have all accompanying modules released yet. So 4D Write, 3D Graph, Calc, XREF,
Mover, Compiler, Externals kit etc. are not yet available.
I'm a fairly new 4D developer. Please be aware that the prior versions of 4D are notoriously slow for multiple users since they are not based on client/server architecture
