- I hit an odd problem the other day while using Word 5.1 [under System 7.01, with
- Tuneup 1.1.1]. I needed to change the printer, so I selected Chooser from the
- Apple menu, and it reported there wasn't enough memory to run. So I switched to
- some other applications that were backgrounded and quit them, then tried to use
- the Chooser. It kept insisting that there wasn't enough memory to run.
- Selecting "About this Macintosh..." showed I had a meg free. However, Chooser
- simply would not run until after I saved my document and quit Microsoft Word.
-
- This seem more like a System bug than a Word bug; however, I've never seen such a
- thing until we installed Word 5.1 a couple of weeks ago. Has anyone else seen
- this, or have any clues what happened?
-
- This is just idle curiosity, BTW...it was only a minor nuisance, and I avoid Word
- whenever possible.
