  17. Colin McCormack of Tangled Web software ported Minix to the Applix 1616, 
  18. an MC68000 kit computer sold in Australia.  He remapped a lot of the Minix 
  19. calls to use the equivalents in the 1616/OS that was in EPROM on the board, 
  20. so it wouldn't be a real portable version.  I tried it for a while, but 
  21. like most of the users, rather quickly switched back to the original 
  22. operating system (Minix didn't have any features it didn't have ... except 
  23. a slightly better shell ... and Minix was a hell of a lot slower and didn't
  24. support graphics.)
