- Colin McCormack of Tangled Web software ported Minix to the Applix 1616,
- an MC68000 kit computer sold in Australia. He remapped a lot of the Minix
- calls to use the equivalents in the 1616/OS that was in EPROM on the board,
- so it wouldn't be a real portable version. I tried it for a while, but
- like most of the users, rather quickly switched back to the original
- operating system (Minix didn't have any features it didn't have ... except
- a slightly better shell ... and Minix was a hell of a lot slower and didn't
- support graphics.)
