- To my knowledge, Isis has been used in two VR projects.
-
- One is headed by Steve Pink at the Swedish Institute for Computer
- Science. Steve is pink@sics.se, and I understand that their VR
- software is publically available. I copied a bunch of their material
- to ftp.cs.cornell.edu (pub directory) a while back. No idea what
- it does or how well it works, but people tell me the system is quite
- nice.
-
- The second project is a part of the overall VR activity at University
- of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Prof. Don Smith headed the effort and
- although he is now at IBM more than at UNC, I am sure he can still be
- reached through UNC. Email at IBM is smithfd@vnet.ibm.com; he can
- probably provide pointers to the group at UNC itself. Again, no idea
- what they actually have done, but they do have a very good reputation.
