- I find this quite disappointing. What can I plug into the slot with
- the video extension? I was worried about having only three expansion
- slots in the model 70 when I bought it in Dec '89, and it looks like I
- was right to be concerned. I've got my motherboard memory maxed out
- at 6Mb, and my 115Mb hard drive is running 90% full, and OS/2's
- workplace shell using the built-in 8-bit VGA is too slow (it's
- improved since I upgraded my memory, but I think the video performance
- could be drastically better with a better interface)
-
- I'd like to get a memory expansion board, a SCSI interface board,
- and an XGA-2 card to upgrade my machine. But with only 2 fully 32-bit
- slots, I guess this isn't possible. Can a 16-bit SCSI card fit in the
- video extension slot? If I have to put something in a 16-bit slot, I
- guess it'll have to be the SCSI.
