  12. I've just installed an IBM internal tape drive in my PS/2. I can now use
  13. the accompanying backup program to backup my hard disk, which was the
  14. main reason I bought it.

  16. However, if the backup program can read/write to the tape, why can't I do
  17. it directly? IS there any way I can do this from inside a C program,
  18. for example?
