- I Just got my new SB16, which I bought for the MPU401 compatibility on
- the MIDI interface.
-
- I just can't seem to get the MPU401 mode to work correctly, the machine hangs
- if any software tries to use it (BAND-IN-THE-BOX etc...)
-
- There is no hardware conflict, I use IRQ 5 , I/O 220h and 300h DMA 1 and 6
- (I cant use the default value for I/O address of the MIDI port because I
- use an ADAPTEC 1542B controller...)
-
- The SB16TEST.EXE runs just fine withount any complaints, but any
- software that tries to use the MIDI port hangs the machine. (The
- software is able to use different I/O adresses for the MPU MIDI port so
- it shouldn't be any problem.)
-
- I Use the MIDI kit with cables that came with my SBPro.
-
- Sound Blaster MIDI compatibility works just fine with my SB16, but why
- does'nt this Fu...ing SB16 MPU401 compatibility work ?????
-
-
- PLEASE HELP ME ANYONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
- Jan Erik.
