- I have a GUS v2.2 which has been working great for a month or so now. I
- have a concern, though, and was wondering if you call could offer insights
- as to the problem:
-
- I have found that when recording something from CD or from a Mic, I get
- a background hiss which is quite noticeable. I played for a while, and
- found that the hiss is quite a bit louder when recording in stereo. I
- have tried from 11 all the way up to 44khz (22 and 44 in stereo) and the
- hiss remains. I have tried both playfile and USS8 to do the recording.
-
- Has anyone else noticed this? Is there any solution? Incidentally,
- playing MIDI files, etc is PERFECTLY crystal clear on my GUS, so I
- don't think the noise is coming from the location of the card in my machine.
-
- Thanks...
