  25. encoded files?  The files in thisarchive all have *.tar.Z encoding, so,
  26. while sox will convert them _after_ they're decompressed, you still need
  27. to decompress them.  Help please.

  38. and here's the answer too! (sort of)

  40. There is a whole set of programs for MS DOS that mimic unix commands 
  41. including tar and uncompress.  It's called UNIX4DOS.ZIP on my disk,
  42. but unfortunaely I don't know where I ftp'ed it from.  I'll upload a
  43. copy of it to wuarchive.wustl.edu /pub/MSDOS_UPLOADS, but that place
  44. is pretty full these days, so it may not last long there.
