- Does anyone know of DOS/Windows programs to convert .Z and .TAR
- encoded files? The files in thisarchive all have *.tar.Z encoding, so,
- while sox will convert them _after_ they're decompressed, you still need
- to decompress them. Help please.

- There is a whole set of programs for MS DOS that mimic unix commands
- including tar and uncompress. It's called UNIX4DOS.ZIP on my disk,
- but unfortunaely I don't know where I ftp'ed it from. I'll upload a
- copy of it to wuarchive.wustl.edu /pub/MSDOS_UPLOADS, but that place
- is pretty full these days, so it may not last long there.
