- Well, I've had my GUS for a few weeks now, and I must say it's a fine
- piece of work. Compared to my MT-32, it's lacking some of the
- robustness of the straight synth, and it bothers me I can't mix both
- MT-32 and GUS using SBOS.... but I'll cope.
-
- Here's what won't work and when, but who'll tell me why:
-
- Wolf3D: Digitized sounds cut out before they can start. Nothing
- but clicks and static for gunshots, screams, etc..
-
- T2029: All digitized sounds work fine, until an explosion. Then
- the explosions are the only things that will come through.
- It's almost like once the eplosion is loaded, it wipes out
- the other sounds completely.
-
- Etc...: For the most part, the digitized sounds aren't coming through
- as they should. AAnd beleive me, I've tried all the -o
- settings. This is with the default GUS settings, on both a
- 286 and a 486. Mind you, the 486 does seem to have an OPTI
- chipset, could this be the problem, or do I simply need to
- up the memory count on the board? (Currently just 256k)
-
- Hey, thanks.
