  23. Sorry, but what exactly is prebuilt MIDI sounds? If you meant the onboard 
  24. ROM like the MT-32 (or was it the SCC-1?), then the answer is NO.
  25. However, the standard GUS comes with 256k of RAM on board (exp to 1Mb)
  26. for which to load the MIDI patches. This is infinitely better than having
  27. a fixed set of instruments on ROM since newer patches can be recorded and
  28. used on the GUS.
