- I don't know about this specific drive, but some segate drives (like
- the ST-251) are known to have problems. I'm not sure it's fair to
- say they crash a lot, but they do have motor problems. We have one
- in a PC at work, which we leave on all the time. If we were to power
- it down, there is no garantee that the drive will spin up again ...
- at least, not without turning it on and off a number of time.

- In addition, when a drive "crashes" often the drive isn't at fault
- but software itself. I could tell you about the guy who trashed his
- whole file system, from within WordStar!! :-)
