  14. There were a couple requests for info on FastMicro computers.  I have the
  15. 386-40 computer that was offered during the summer as their package deal.
  16. I bought it in person (since my home is close to Tempe, AZ), so I got to
  17. see the outfit they ran.  The store was clean, full service (everything
  18. from books to chips), and was quite large (resembling CompUSA).

  20. The salespeople and techs were technically knowledgeable about the systems
  21. they were selling.  I had to wait a week for customizing the base 386
  22. package from 4 to 8 megs RAM.  But during the meantime they did a 
  23. thorough technical workout of the system...a form detailing the tests
  24. they did on it came with the machine when I got it a week later.

  26. I haven't had to take it into service, and I've been using it heavily
  27. every day under MS Windows for 4.5 months.  I don't know how their 
  28. return/repair performance really stacks up.
