- I just bought a new 486SX-25 clone system, and I'm pretty happy with it,
- except for one thing:
-
- I do a "DIR B:" (B: is my 3.5" floppy drive) on disk #1, and get a valid
- file listing.
-
- I take out disk #1 and replace it with disk #2, which is known to have
- different files on it (verified on 2 other machines).
-
- I do a "DIR B:" again, and I get the *same* file listing as I had on my
- disk #1!
-
- If I reboot the machine and do a "DIR B:" on disk #2, I see the correct
- listing of the contents of disk #2 (which again supports my contention
- that disk #1 and disk #2 have different files on them).
-
- In other words, my directory listing is the same for every disk I insert
- into drive B: forever, until I reboot. Can anyone tell me what's going
- on? Thanks for any help!!
