- The key word is that one is unformatted and the other is formatted space.
- When you format a disk, the system has to take up a certain amount of space
- on the disk in order to work with your computer.. So when you format a disk
- with Dos, you lose approximately .56MB of space to the system. Basically the
- 2.0MB is just the raw disk, and depending on what computer you format the
- disk on will decide how much space the system takes up...
