- PD>IMHO, there are 2 ways to go with DOS right now -- either DR-DOS 6.0
- PD>or MS-DOS 3.30. A few hassles I've had with DR's offering have
- PD>annoyed me: "slow" floppy drives [why, BTW?]; problems with TaskMax
- PD>and my keyboard; others I forget now. For the rest, it's great,
-
- Just curious: I have DOS 6.0 on my 386sx (40meg drive doubled to near-80
- with SuperStor, 4meg RAM--mostly configured as EMS). I use TaskMAX constantly
- to enable me to switch between WP51, Ventura, QuickVerse, PC Paintbrush,
- ProComm, PCTools Desktop, et.al. I've never had trouble with "my keyboard,"
- though. I find it very quick and trouble free. Maybe there's something
- oneof us is missing...?
-
- I do no what you mean abut S-L-O-W floppy access, but never connected it with
- switching to DRDOS 6.0. Do YOU know the reason?
-
- I loaded Windows 3.0 onto my machine--for about one day. I *was* really
- pretty, but that about all I could see to recommend it. I guess I would
- like to be able to operate my comm. software in a real multitasking envi-
- ronment, but I'll find something else to make it happen.
-
- I really think DRDOs is great, and won't lket go of it until something
- *MUCH* better comes along!
