- Given that the Amiga's standard high-density format is somewhere near
- the 1.72 megs that FDFORMAT can put on a disk, I'd think that
- FDFORMAT is safe--as long as you use it with REAL high-density disks.

- I tried punching a DD disk to HD once...didn't work. Save yourself
- the aggravation of lost data--don't punch disks. The only time it's
- safe to punch disks is when you're working with single-sided 5.25"
- drives (as with an Apple II)...you can punch another notch to use the
- other side of those disks without problem (I've been doing that for
- over seven years and have never lost a disk).
