  20. Given that the Amiga's standard high-density format is somewhere near
  21. the 1.72 megs that FDFORMAT can put on a disk, I'd think that
  22. FDFORMAT is safe--as long as you use it with REAL high-density disks.

  24. I tried punching a DD disk to HD once...didn't work.  Save yourself
  25. the aggravation of lost data--don't punch disks.  The only time it's
  26. safe to punch disks is when you're working with single-sided 5.25"
  27. drives (as with an Apple II)...you can punch another notch to use the
  28. other side of those disks without problem (I've been doing that for
  29. over seven years and have never lost a disk).
