- I agree too. I'm using USRobotics internal V.32bis modem and
- I haven't got yet problems under Windows. With Win 3.1 and
- Telix 3.15 under 386sx/16mhz I have got nearly 2500cps while
- transferring unpacked data. But, in my modem is 16550 UART and
- I use it with 38400 DTE-speed.

- I have to say, that transferring files without windows gives
- much more cps. When I downloaded 480kb .bmp picture, avg. cpses
- were little over 3800. Under Windows cpses like these are nearly
- impossible with below 486-machines and without better than 16550
- buffered UARTs.
