  20.     I agree too. I'm using USRobotics internal V.32bis modem and 
  21.     I haven't got yet problems under Windows. With Win 3.1 and 
  22.     Telix 3.15 under 386sx/16mhz I have got nearly 2500cps while
  23.     transferring unpacked data. But, in my modem is 16550 UART and
  24.     I use it with 38400 DTE-speed.

  26.     I have to say, that transferring files without windows gives 
  27.     much more cps. When I downloaded 480kb .bmp picture, avg. cpses 
  28.     were little over 3800. Under Windows cpses like these are nearly 
  29.     impossible with below 486-machines and without better than 16550
  30.     buffered UARTs.
