  13.     I upgraded my system from a 286/12.5 to a 486/33.  I took
  14.     the two drives that came with my 286 (1.44M and 1.2M), and put
  15.     them in the 486.

  17.     Now I know that floppy drive access under DR-DOS 6.0 is slow,
  18.     but now it is painfully slow.  In fact, it seems slower than
  19.     when I had the 286.
  20.  
  21.     Anyone have any suggestions or insight?  I don't have the slow
  22.     drive access problem under OS/2 2.0.
