- SCSI is widely supported and standard. There can be compatability problems
- but these are more common with tape drives than disk drives. (You will
- probably need a propriatory tape driver program and you will also usually
- get proprietory tape format).

- One problem with some SCSI interfaces is that their BIOS does not support
- multitasking so write behind caches won't work. We bought a 486/50 with SCSI
- to replace a 386/33 with IDE and it was hardly any faster. These old BIOS
- chips are rare now and suppliers should be willing to replace them if your
- unlucky enough to get stuck with one.
