- I don't the history behind it(i.e, which one came first, etc.), but
- 3 chip SIMMs are as good as 9 chip SIMMs, if not better. I have
- heard that some poorly designed motherboards may have problems when
- different types of SIMMs are mixed, but in general they should work
- just fine.
