  11. I have endcountered a most unusual problem involving my Soundblaster Pro and

  13. the 128k cache installed on my 386dx-40 motherboard.  If the cache is enabled,

  15. the DAC channels on the SBPro will not function.  Any attempts to output
  16.  
  17. sound effects results in a system reboot or lockup.  When the cache is
  18.  
  19. disabled, everything works fine.  I don't know what to do.  I called Creative
  20.  
  21. Labs and they said that there was something in the AMI Bios advanced CMOS
  22.  
  23. setup relating to the bus speed that I needed to adjust, but there isn't any-
  24.  
  25. thing of the sort.  There is another BIOS option called ADVANCED CHIPSET
  26.  
  27. SETUP with some settings for the the cache and I've experimented witht them
  28.  
  29. without any luck.  I am extremely frustrated at not being able to use the
  30.  
  31. cache and would greatly appreciate any advice anyone might have.
