- I have set up a bulletin board service on my PC at home and I would
- like to know if it is easier on the hardware to leave it on 24 hours a
- day or to turn it on for, say 6 hours a day only.

- I've heard that the conventional wisdom is that you do more damage
- when you switch the machine on and off than you do by leaving it
- running. Is there any data on this?
