  13. I have set up a bulletin board service on my PC at home and I would
  14. like to know if it is easier on the hardware to leave it on 24 hours a
  15. day or to turn it on for, say 6 hours a day only.

  17. I've heard that the conventional wisdom is that you do more damage
  18. when you switch the machine on and off than you do by leaving it
  19. running.  Is there any data on this?
