  29. As far as I know, this can't be done (at least I couldn't find out a way to
  30. do it!!)  The Joystick works on a polling process, where the CPU looks for
  31. it, and accepts the information it has to offer.  The mouse works on an
  32. interupt idea, where it generates an interupt, and forces the CPU to look at
  33. it and get its info.  I have seen a gadget that allows you to plug a joystick 
  34. into a serial port, but then there is the problem of tricking the software 
  35. into thinking that the joystick input is coming from the mouse port, not the 
  36. joystick one. (the converter from joystick-serial came with an advanced 
  37. flight simulator, and the software knew to expect signals from a serial 
  38. port.)

  40. If anyone has ever managed to connect a joystick to a serial port, and get it 
  41. to work with games, please let me know!!
