- As far as I know, this can't be done (at least I couldn't find out a way to
- do it!!) The Joystick works on a polling process, where the CPU looks for
- it, and accepts the information it has to offer. The mouse works on an
- interupt idea, where it generates an interupt, and forces the CPU to look at
- it and get its info. I have seen a gadget that allows you to plug a joystick
- into a serial port, but then there is the problem of tricking the software
- into thinking that the joystick input is coming from the mouse port, not the
- joystick one. (the converter from joystick-serial came with an advanced
- flight simulator, and the software knew to expect signals from a serial
- port.)
-
- If anyone has ever managed to connect a joystick to a serial port, and get it
- to work with games, please let me know!!
