- The CMOS checksum error sounds like your cmos battery is not holding
- its charge, have you checked it?

- Landmark makes a test kit that consists of a replacement BIOS ROM
- chip(s) that is reasonably priced. You remove the regular BIOS and
- put in Landmark's BIOS. When you power up, if it can't even get to
- the point where the screen becomes active, it will beep a whole
- slew of signals at you, indicating the problem area.

- If you suspect your power supply, try setting the power good signal
- to come from the motherboard rather than from the power supply. I've
- seen a few power supplies that let this signal wander all over the
- map.
