  27. The CMOS checksum error sounds like your cmos battery is not holding
  28. its charge, have you checked it?

  30. Landmark makes a test kit that consists of a replacement BIOS ROM
  31. chip(s) that is reasonably priced. You remove the regular BIOS and
  32. put in Landmark's BIOS. When you power up, if it can't even get to
  33. the point where the screen becomes active, it will beep a whole
  34. slew of signals at you, indicating the problem area.

  36. If you suspect your power supply, try setting the power good signal
  37. to come from the motherboard rather than from the power supply. I've
  38. seen a few power supplies that let this signal wander all over the
  39. map.
