  11. I've been trying to find someplace to purchase expansion memory
  12. for this model, which my sister purchased with only 2mb of memory,
  13. too little for comfortable use with Windows.  The motherboard has
  14. two 72-pin SIMM sockets, and the manual refers to it requiring 70ns
  15. memory in either 2 or 4mb increments.

  17. I would warn potential purchasers that such memory is virtually
  18. impossible to find at the dealers (Lechmere, Sears, etc.) who sell
  19. the product.  Some other PS/1 models use generic 1mb SIMMs, but
  20. not this low-end model.  Calling IBM's 800 numbers for assistance
  21. has been an exercise in being bounced around from one group to another
  22. without getting any information--surely my sister isn't the only
  23. person to desire a memory upgrade!  Perhaps she's the only person
  24. to have purchased one of these things?

  26. If someone could point me to a source for this memory (preferably
  27. someone who has installed them in a PS/1), I'd much appreciate it!
