- I was having this same problem (Windows crashing after ~10 minutes) until
- I stopped using the "Explosiv" screen saver. I was loading it in
- autoexec.bat, and as long as I didn't start up Windows the machine was fine.
- But a few minutes after loading windows it would hang, i.e., the mouse pointer
- would be active, but there was no response from the mouse buttons or the
- keyboard. Since I removed "Explosiv" it has not happened. I am now using the
- screen saver that came with Windows, with no problems. (Too bad, Explosiv
- is nice.)
-
- For the record, my machine is the same as Bhusan's described above: Micronics
- 486DX2/66 motherboard with the Micronics-marketed version of the ATI GUP, the
- MVC8000. Winbench 3.1 reports >29 M-Winmarks. Oh yes, I am using the
- Build 50 driver.
