- I am seriously thinking of running a bbs under PCBoard, using
- a CD-ROM drive for file downloads. Is there software for this,
- does the CD-ROM drive have to be fast, or is the file copied to
- the hard drive before the DL. A friend told me the older drives
- were not fast enough for a 14.4k modem, is this correct?
-
- No one in the area has a bbs with FREE DL's from a CD-ROM. The SIMTEL
- CD-ROM seems to be nice at a good price. Any other suggestions, for
- either software or drives? Any help would be appreciated.
