  13. I resolved my ViewSonic 7 monitor problem.  I was having a problem
  14. with the upper corners being distorted.

  16. I called ViewSonic *again* and this time they suggested that I 
  17. install the monitor as if it were an NEC 5FG.
  18.  
  19. Now it works great.  Small text is very clear, the corners are normal,
  20. its quick to change resolution, and the controls are on the front
  21. panel for everything.

  23. For the $999 price, the 17" monitor was a good deal.
