- I love mine. I use it all the time. Well, note, that quite a bit
- of how much I like it is just related to being able to use a tape drive
- and not floppies, but...
-
- I really like how the drive fits in a 1" 3 1/2 drive slot. It's
- a lot quiter than some Mountain drives I've heard. Many people I know
- do not like their tape drives, but I've not met an Iomega owner like
- this.
-
- I've got CPBackup set to compare every backup, and in 1/2 year it's
- only ever failed 2 files (so it rebacked those up). Not too bad
- preformance. It's pretty quick, too. But, I've got some
- 8mm dat drives at work, so I'm spoiled... Now, if only the Iomega
- could read/write those...
-
- It reads both QIC and Irwin formatted tapes. Not a big deal
- for me, but for some people it's a great life saver.
-
- It comes with an old version of Central Point Backup. It's pretty
- cool. it does the job.
-
- I recommend it highly.
-
- (sorry for rambling a bit, but my mind's on other things and
- I'm hungry, too. see?)
