- : Ok. You're right. The game is not as bad as I depicted it. The animation was
- : slowed down on my computer because of the Gravis Ultrasound TSR I used to get
- : Adlib sound. I tried it on a friends 486/50 EISA with LAPC-1. It asbolutely
- : refused to work under DOS. It would just hang when you where about to fly. We
- : finally got it to run ... under OS/2! (A better DOS than DOS ;^)
- : Anyway, the animation was much better, even though I was a little disappointed
- : (it was a 486/50 after all...). Anyway, the game has an unfinished feeling
- : about it. The README.TXT file, which is supposed to give you important last
- : minute information, just says: blah blah blah. Seems like this got this game
- : out in a rush.
- : I also tried the game in the "authentic" flight model, and since never flied
- : an F-15 either, I can't say how good the flight model was. But one thing is
- : for sure: It does fly like a septic tank.
-
- Especially at low altitutes. Caused me to crash quite alot
- during pop-up attacks. The F-15 CAN'T really manuver like this, can it? PAtches
- and patches. Where are them patches?
-
- :
- : So again, I would suggest anyone interested in this game to wait a little. It
- : could probably become quite fun with a few patches and optimizations.
- : Anyway, I hope this helps...

- Yeah, I got this unfinished feeling when I play the game too.
- The sound effects are ok, but the sound of the missile launches, well, let's
- just say it sounds like a air-rifle going off (well, again, I never fired an
- AIM-120 or the AIM-9M before, so I can't say...). The hat doesn't work right.
- The left right views doesn't work also. THere is also this annoying problem
- where the auto-pilot disengages if you use time compression over 2x (i.e. 3x
- and above). Framerate could be better. They could of also added in a "red flag"
- feature where you can set-up your own missions (come'on, how hard is that?!?).
- An ACMI would help alot too, to show where you've made your mistakes (one
- reason why I like Falcon 3.0 so much). Maybe they'll do one of them Red Baron
- things and require us to pay for additions to the original (i.e. the mission
- generator..). And at the very least, they could give you ONE computer wingie
- so you don't have to die alone......
-
- Good game, but definitely not perfect. Maybe we'll just have
- to wait for Falcon 4.0 or 5.0 or something like that......
