- I got a new math chip the other day so I decided to check out Falcon
- in the high fidelity Mode. I change the dip switches on the WCS and
- went to instant action.
-
- The problem was that the afterburner stages weren't working correctly.
- (this is really a WCS question)
-
- Pushing the throttle forward would give increased throttle up to the
- detent, then switch to AB1 and stay there through the end of its travel.
-
- Pulling the Throttle back would then give the AB stages AB1, AB2, AB3,
- AB4, and AB5.
-
- I fiddled with the detent adjustment pot, but that did no good.
-
- I checked it out at a dos prompt and it was definately doing what
- i thought it was (though not correct):
-
- pushing forward gave =========/,,,,,
- pulling back gave ...../-------------
-
- This seems entirely backwards from the way the AB's ought to work.
- and not how I remember them working before. I thought it was:
- push forward---> 0-100% throttle, AB1, AB2,...AB5
- pull back------> AB5, AB4,...AB1, 100-0% throttle
-
- Is there something wrong with my WCS?
-
- Is there an email address for thrustmaster? A friend of mine also has
- another problem with his WCS. (one like this)
-
- Thanks,
- Bill Lewis
