- Hi,
-
- I think HP48sx is a great machine and extremely rugged.
-
- Recently, I dropped my calculator on the road and a car went over it
- (don't let this happens to you)!!! I picked up the calculator and run
- several tests to verify any damages. Well, to my surprise, everything
- are functioning normally even the fragile IR diodes, ram card and the
- LCD screen !!!! After carefully examined the calculator plastic case, I
- found the car went over the top portion of the machine. The plastic
- case and the dedicate LCD screen have virtually no damage; not even a
- scratch. The only damage is the minor deformation on the sheet metal
- portion above the screen. Being a mechanical engineering graduate, I
- found that is is remarkable that this little mahcine can take so much
- pressure without major damage. Clearly, the HP team have put a lot of
- effort to design such a rugged machine and it sure pays off. Good work,
- HP!
-
- NOTE: I don't work for HP and have no connection with them. This is my
- personal comment based on a true event. Please do not try to dulplicate
- this event.
