- I have some PCs and Macs which I would like to use to access
- an HP (running HP-UX). I'm using some public domain/commercial
- telnet programs on the DOS/Windows and MacOS side. However, I'm
- using host tables on each PC/Mac (and I'd prefer not to).
-
- I'd like to configure the HP as a Domain Name Server. However,
- I've never done this before. Also, I'm confused with the Yellow
- Pages/NIS stuff in relation to DNS. I think I *don't* want to
- use YP/NIS (at least for now) and *only* use DNS.
-
- Can anyone provide some pointers on how to do this? I've FTP's
- the HP FAQ from pit-manager.mit.edu, howver It didn't help. Also,
- I've read a number of man pages on this and I'm still confused.
-
- Any help would be *GREATLY* appreciated.
- Thanks in advance.
