- Recently someone asked about how to get high speed modems working on
- a 730. I am having exactly the same problem, and have exactly the same
- question, but I'll state it again:
-
- If someone has a high speed (9600/14400 baud) modem working on a 720/730
- running HPUX/8.06 (or any OS for that matter), what do the gettydefs and
- inittab files look like? What are the modem settings? I am using a
- suprafax modem v.32bis. The modem would like hardware handshaking but can
- be set to not use it. I think I have tried almost every modem/computer
- setting except the one that makes it work.
-
- If anyone knows how to get this working please post the answer, or send
- me mail.
-
- Thanks,
-
