  13. Recently someone asked about how to get high speed modems working on
  14. a 730.  I am having exactly the same problem, and have exactly the same
  15. question, but I'll state it again:

  17. If someone has a high speed (9600/14400 baud) modem working on a 720/730
  18. running HPUX/8.06 (or any OS for that matter), what do the gettydefs and 
  19. inittab files look like?  What are the modem settings?  I am using a
  20. suprafax modem v.32bis.  The modem would like hardware handshaking but can
  21. be set to not use it.  I think I have tried almost every modem/computer
  22. setting except the one that makes it work.

  25. me mail.
