- STREAMS/UX is a separate product available for HP-UX release 9.0
- or higher. It includes the basic STREAMS framework, a "generic"
- TLI interface (user must supply their own STREAMS-based network
- transport), and a DLPI interface to HP's Ethernet/802.3 and Token
- Ring LAN interface cards.
-
- It does not include the following, which someone coming from System
- V may think of as "STREAMS": a TLI interface to TCP/IP, a STREAMS-based
- version of TCP/IP, a STREAMS-based implementation of pipes, and
- a STREAMS-based implementation of terminal I/O. A full-fledged
- datasheet will be available later this week.
