  20. I am not sure about the "overwriting" bit you make reference to; that doesn't
  21. sound quite right. That aside:
  22.     (1) You can adjust the palatte to be anything you want; in VUE 3.0 this
  23.         is in /usr/vue/palettes, and there are a bunch of files in there
  24.         with the palette settings brought up by the style guide when you
  25.         do the "select colour" choice. Try editing the files, by hand, or
  26.         through the snifty colour editor slider bars the "select colour"
  27.         dialog box has in it.

  29.     (2) You can run a tool called "xinitcolormap" and load up the first
  30.         "n" cells of the colour map with what ever you like. These become
  31.         "hard-locked" cells. Especially good for StarBase or RMB/UX X11
  32.         users. "xinitcolormap" *must* be the first X11 client run after
  33.         the server starts. Normally executed in /usr/vue/config/Xsession
  34.         (/usr/lib/X11/vue/Vuelogin/Xsession for VUE 2.x).
