- I had the same problem with the icon keystrip on 3 machines before I got
- my present one which has been totally reliable (>510006 s/n, recessed
- screen, 1.80F s/w) to date. With PSION-USA, all I had to do was to call
- Tech Support to get an RMA number and then place an order by fax with
- the Order Dept mentioning the RMA number and that the order is to replac
- a defective machine and my credit card details. The Order Dept then sent
- me a new machine by 2nd day air without charging my credit card and I
- then had 2 (or was it 3) weeks to send back my defective machine
- otherwise they would then charge my card. Perhaps PSION-UK have such a
- procedure as well but then again probably their colonial offices have
- more leeway as they may not be so tightly controlled :-).
-
- So I was never without the use of my machine (albeit with some loss of
- funtionality) during this long saga with the icon keystrip. Also I found
- that the PSION-USA tech support people were one of the better group of
- tech support people that I have ever dealt with.
-
- Great product (apart from the teething problems), but shame about the
- marketing (if there was any at all!!).
