  21. Seems to me I remember reading something about this.

  23. It has something to do with the kernel initializing the console, and if
  24. it's using a standard tty, it doesn't init the frame buffer, or somesuch.

  26. Watch the bootup messages, and see if your framebuffer device is showing up
  27. during boot.

  29. On the other hand, I could be so far off that this will only serve to
  30. complicate the problem.
