- When VMS is running an underscore in front of the device name means you
- are pointing to that device instead of using the logical if it was
- defined on that system (some systems may have defined a logical
- MUA0: or DUA0: to point to a different device).

- When standalone backup is running they should be no logicals defined
- so the underscore in front of the device name would not be mandatory
- (I never tried to enter underscores in front of device names when
- I do standalone backups).
